WordPress Photography Challenge: Collage
Like so many others, I have a shoe box of old photos bequeathed to me from my mother. They are all black and white and date back to the early 40’s. My mother turned 18 in 1944 and World War 2 was being played out; the boys of her generation were sent off to the Pacific or European theatre. The shoe box contained photos from some of the boys she communicated with from 1943-1944. I don’t know their names except what I can glean from some of the scribbles on the back of the photos. These pictures have been staring back at me every time I open this box of photos to make a decision as to what to do with them. It’s almost like they are asking me to do something with them. They are over 70 years old now and they do show their age. These pictures a only a few of the many but these are the ones that seemed to fare the best over the years. On the back of some of the pictures is a brief hand written description as I note below each collage.
